I've been a listing fool on Etsy this past week or so, check out the new products!

Spring Tulips

I just finished a tryptych for my friend Joy & I thought I'd post the pics from the process. She had a pic from a magazine & we went off that for the final images. Turned out pretty nice if I do say so myself :)

New Projects!

So I currently have about 4 projects going right now & last night I decided it was time to work on/finish a few of them. The first one was finishing the second Fractured Crate piece & then photographing it to put up on Etsy. Check it off the list! (click here to see the listing on Etsy)

The next project was inspired by the small pieces of crate I'd cut for the project above. I used small pieces, drew a city on them with oil pastel, and poured wax over the entire thing. I also created a stamp from a picture of a guy I saw in a 1950's encyclopedia I bought at the thrift store. I'm going to create multiples of him and place them across the city. We'll see how it turns out :)

Last but not least, I've been working on this canvas for some time now just testing things out here & there: the placement of the screen, the colors, etc. So far I like the look-I actually taped out layered of paint to make a grid & came back with the lighter color to make the blocks. Last night I put the metal pieces on by sewing them with a thin metal wire & I plan to put the screen back over the bright metal. Not finished yet but getting there!

Ringmaster in Etsy treasury!

Ringmaster Finished!

I put the final touches on my 'Ringmaster' canvas last night & I'm really pumped with how it came out! I ended up carving out a custom stamp of a circus tent & hand stamped it onto the canvas with burnt umber paint. Here's an image with it about 1/2 way done:
Once the stamp was applied I decided to forgo the text and call it complete. Although when I post this on Etsy I'll include the text in the description. See text below:

Ring Master Pt1

A few pics of the newest canvas: I started out w/ a canvas board I'd tried a much of diff. techniques on, then took a transparency with a ring master figure on it (I'd made during my thesis work in college), and framed the image w/ a thrift store find! I think I still have some things to play around with before it's finished-but it's a start :)
